We offer a wide range of services that cater to each student and their needs. Your tutor will work with you to build a custom program that aligns with your specific goals, and carefully monitor progress with frequent check-ins and student-parent conferences. See below for our full list of services offered.

In-Home K-8 Tutoring Program (1:1)

Our in-home tutoring program is for students from Kindergarten and Grade 8 and can take place in the comfort of your own home or a local library. We will match you with a tutor that is in your area and will work with you 1-on-1 to build a custom tutoring program. Our focus is on the fundamental skills of mathematics and literacy, which are the core building blocks of academics. Our tutors come with a wealth of knowledge and high quality resources to ensure that each student is receiving the best instruction possible. We will arrange a schedule that is suitable to your availability and try our best to maintain consistency.

Online K-8 Tutoring Program (1:1)

Our online tutoring program is similar to our in person program, but you will be working virtually, 1-on-1 with your tutor. You will connect with your tutor through Google Classroom, where they will be able to post materials, links, and homework for you. Your tutor will be online with you through Google Meet, and have access to collaborative interactive tools such as Jamboard, Google Docs and Google Slides. We will arrange a schedule that is suitable to your availability and try our best to maintain consistency.

Study Habits, Organization, and Time Management (in-home or online)

Building study habits is a critical skill that will help students as they progress through higher grades and in post-secondary education. Your tutor will help you be more organized and efficient in your learning. Furthermore, understanding tricks and strategies for memorization and ultimately application of key concepts will help to boost grades.

Homework Support (in-home or online)

Sometimes having extra support while doing homework can make all the difference. Your tutor will not do your homework for you, but we will help guide you and bring in additional knowledge, materials, and resources to assist your learning. We will help you develop habits that will allow you to eventually become more independent in your studies.

Critical Thinking

Being able to think critically is a 21st century skill that is only becoming more important. Our world is moving quickly and there is more information at our fingertips than ever before. Critical thinking allows us analyze, understand, and solve problems from an objective viewpoint. Our tutors can develop a program that imbeds critical thinking skill development through various reading materials, projects, or discussion of real-world issues.

Creativity Building

When we are passionate about a topic, it makes learning fun and easy. Everyone has the ability to be creative, but we often don't know how to express it. Our tutors can work with you to develop passion projects and find ways for you to share what you care about most, or what you are most interested in learning about. Here you will learn how to brainstorm, conduct research, synthesize information, write, develop, and communicate your ideas. These are all skills that will carry on with you as you progress through the grades and ultimately in society.
